About Me

Welcome to Trek for Less! My name is Dena Gillis and I am so happy to have you here. I am a spouse of a military veteran, mother to a daughter who is about to graduate high school, and a travel agent. In addition to my travel agent business, I work as an accounting manager for an e-commerce company. Born in California and raised in North Dakota, my family lives in Omaha, Nebraska. I have lived all over the country thanks to the United States Air Force. 

 

I created this blog/website for many reasons, but my main reason is because I LOVE to travel! Plus, I love to help my clients plan and organize their dream vacations. My husband is a money coach, which means that I have lots of tips and tricks up my sleeve to ensure that my clients can still enjoy that dream vacation even when on a budget. In addition, as a military spouse, I am familiar with the many ways that military families can save money on those much needed trips away from the chaos of military life.
